SAP Exchange Infrastructure (SAP XI)  *NEW

SAP Exchange Infrastructure provides open integration technologies that support process-centric collaboration among SAP and non-SAP components, both within and beyond enterprise boundaries.

When the components that support business processes are spread across heterogeneous systems, changes to those components can get expensive. SAP Exchange Infrastructure reduces the costs of, and removes the barriers to true integration. It consolidates the knowledge necessary to access functionality, integrate systems, and drive business processes in a shared knowledge base.

There are two tracks to this area as follows:

>> TBIT24 SAP NetWeaver '04 - Exchange Infrastructure & Integration (Technical Consultant)

After this course, the XI technical consultant should be able to perform installation, administration and monitoring of all XI technical components.

>> TBIT14 SAP NetWeaver '04 - Exchange Infrastructure & Integration (Development Consultant)

This course aims to provide the knowledge required of any consultant to configure and implement SAP Exchange Infrastructure (XI) to serve various business scenarios.

Web Application Development - Java  *NEW

>> JA300 SAP J2EE Start-Up Kit

To place web applications and web services on the Internet, companies need a reliable infrastructure for developing, implementing and executing applications. With the Web Application Server, SAP delivers a homogenous infrastructure for J2EE and ABAP-based applications. It provides integration and connectors to both the portal and the exchange infrastructure.

This 5-day course provides basic knowledge to J2EE programming based on SAP Web Application Server (SAP Web AS) 6.40 and the SAP Web AS development tools (e.g. SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio, SAP Persistence Framework, SAP Web Dynpro, etc).

>> JA310 Java Web Dynpro

Traditionally, much time and effort are required on coding and development of even the most simple web application. With Web Dynpro as a professional UI (User Interface) development tool, SAP now offers Java and .NET developers a simpler way to work and interact with SAP.

The basic aim of this course is to make programmers more productive by teaching them how to develop graphical user interfaces in Java using Web Dynpro technology. After attending this course, developers can look forward to creating UI effortlessly by 'drag-and-drop technique' and spending much lesser time and resources on coding, debugging and maintenance. In simple term, the capabilities of Web Dynpro technology is not unlike what WYSIWYG HTML-editor (i.e.: MS FrontPage) can do for web page design.

On top of that, Web Dynpro is truly based on component oriented design. It enables Web Dynpro modules to exchange and share embedded web components (such as web forms and views), and brings web components reusability to a higher degree compare to other conventional approaches. Web Dynpro bridges the gap between different platforms such as J2EE, ABAP and Microsoft.NET, and between different Internet browsers and mobile platforms. To expedite your productivity on building that application, hurry now and sign up for this course!

Open Source Technology

LAMP Workshop  *NEW

>> AMP101 Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP

LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) is one of the most popular web development platforms these days. Linux is the operating system, Apache is the webserver, MySQL serves as the database and the application logic is implemented in PHP. This course aims to impart the minimal necessary tools and skills required for building any reasonably complex web applications using LAMP technologies.

Students will be led by an instructor to complete a series of lab exercises that are designed to create a mock web application at the end of the course. The lab exercises also serve to test and reinforce the ideas learned at the end of each session.

Enterprise Middleware & Application Server  *NEW

>> MW101 Overview Workshop on JBoss Enterprise Middleware System

JBoss Application Server (AS) is the first production-ready, J2EE application server offering the clustering, fail-over, load-balancing, and distributed deployment features required to deploy large scalable enterprise applications. JBoss AS is J2EE 1.4 certified and has a business friendly open source license that makes JBoss AS free to download, use and distribute. With its resounding success as the most popular open source application server, JBoss is also now bundled with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.

This 1-day workshop will introduce to participants the Architecture, key features and development environment of JBOSS Enterprise Middleware System. The workshop content will be based on presentation slides, demo and hands-on exercises. Covered Topics includes key features of JBOSS, JBOSSIDE (Eclipse for JBOSS), J2EE Services (JSP, Java Servlet, JDBC, JMS, EJB and WebServices) and containers, sneak preview of JBOSS implementation of EJB 3.0.

TRAINING EXPERIENCE WITH EIS

"Having been active in the SAP consulting industry on numerous large projects all over Europe for around 10 years and freelance for about 7 years, I decided to update some of my skills within the area of Interfacing.

Singapore was recommended by a colleague of mine largely because of the price compared to SAP courses offered in Europe. As a result, I book the TBIT14 XI course with EIS in Singapore.

I must say that the quality of training offered by EIS combined with the actual cost makes both Singapore/EIS a great choice in SAP Educational Services.

The instructor presented the course material in a very professional manner and showed his in-depth knowledge for each of the topics covered as part of the course.

I would definitely come again/recommend it to other friends and colleagues in the SAP industry who are interested in attending additional training courses".

"Our trainer did his homework for this pilot class well and the exercises offered good learning opportunities. The preview of EJB3 was quite impressive. It is much less complicated than before.".

"As an IT professional, I manage and build websites. What I have learned from the Fundamental e-Commerce Workshop at EIS has provided me with the knowledge of making money with websites. It has given me the kick-start that I needed to turn my knowledge into something of tangible value. The rest is hard work from my side. To those other IT professionals, even though you thought you knew every technical bit of websites - flash, programming, database...Do you know how the business aspect of websites works? If not, give this a try.

The course is insightful yet simple and systematic. The trainer is very knowledgeable and practical, he has a vast experience for us to learn from."
