TRAINING HIGHLIGHTS

SAP Exchange Infrastructure (SAP XI)  *NEW

>> TBIT14 SAP Netweaver '04 - Exchange Infrastructure & Integration (Development)

In today’s complex business landscape, it is common to find the computerized business processes of the organization spread across heterogeneous systems. Therefore, any changes to their components can get very complicated and expensive.

SAP Exchange Infrastructure provides open integration technologies that reduces the costs of, and removes the barriers to, true integration. It acts as an integration broker to mediate between different operating systems and applications in terms of connectivity, format and protocols among SAP and non-SAP components, both within and beyond enterprise boundaries. SAP Exchange Infrastructure main goal is to enable a transparent single point of integration for easy access of functionality and to drive computerized business processes in a shared knowledge base.

This course aims to provide the knowledge required of any consultant to configure and implement SAP Exchange Infrastructure (XI) to serve various business scenarios.

Business Programming (ABAP)

>> BC407 Reporting: QuickViews, InfoSet Query, SAP Query

Information is the lifeblood of every organization. To thrive, all members of the organization must share not only data -- words, numbers, images -- but also to qualify and organize them into more meaningful information. This consideration applies from basic daily operations to important decision-making process. All responsible managers recognizing the above would want to equip their staffs with the relevant skills and knowledge.

The course BC407 (Reporting with the InfoSet Query and the QuickViewer) covers topics on the analysis of data and development of reports using QuickViewer, SAP Query and InfoSet Query.

This course covers intensive usage of above techniques.  At the end of the course, students should have the relevant knowledge on the configuration and management of the administrative query environment for effective and efficient mass use by end users. The course also covers topics on Transporting Query Components to different systems.

>> BC460 SAPscript: Forms Printing and Text Management

The course BC460 covers topics that explain the basic concept of SAPscripts and how its various components interact. It talks about how to maintain Standard SAPscript and even teaches how to create New SAPscripts. It also discusses from developer’s point of view on how to write and call SAPscript in customized program and to perform font maintenance, as well as to transport SAPscript objects to next system or client.

>> BC470 Form Printing with SAPSmartForms

Every company regularly needs to print, fax or email large numbers of documents with consistent design, such as invoices or delivery notes…etc.

Starting from SAP R/3 4.6C and higher version, SAP provides a tool called SAP Smart Forms for form processing. This tool includes utilities for designing forms and defining interface to the application programs that use forms for their data output. With the SAP Web Application Server (WAS), SAP Smart Forms can be generated in HTML format and made available in the intranet or Internet for user entries. The attractiveness of SAP Smart Forms lies in the ease of its creation. Thanks to complete GUI, form customization is possible even without programming knowledge, and once created correctly, maintenance is kept to the minimum and mass form-printing has never been easier.

For customers who have not upgraded their SAP systems yet, this course would be beneficial as it also covers topic on converting forms that were previously created using the older SAP tool (i.e. the SAPScript).

>> BC420 Data Transfer

When a company installs an R/3 System, the data from the legacy system needs to be transferred to the new system. Objects of high importance and sensitivity like customer data, FI documents and assets records need to be transferred correctly and efficiently. How can one be sure that this task can be completed successfully? This course offers you the answer to this question.

In this course, you will learn about effective transfer procedures and techniques, how to import non-SAP data into SAP R/3 system, execute data transfer using the transfer programs and BAPIs provided by SAP, use the Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW) to convert data into the SAP format required and create your own data transfer programs using the batch input and call transaction techniques.

Business Webflow

>> BIT610 SAP Webflow - Programming

Have you implemented workflows in your company? Do you want to be able to program rule-based functions, create your own object types and trigger events in applications yourself?

The course, BIT610 (SAP WebFlow Programming) covers customer adaptations and enhancements to workflows through easy programming. You will learn how to create workflow interfaces at all levels (i.e. Objects, events, methods, rules and attributes). You will also learn how to check and monitor the runtime system as well as to perform error handling.

Business Integration Technology

>> BIT300 Integration Technology ALE

Every company regularly needs to send documents like invoices or delivery notes, purchase order, order confirmation…etc. Traditionally, these documents are printed in hard copy to be sent and then processed by the targeted vendors or customers. The whole practice can be tedious and inconvenient both to the sender and to the recipients. But if you have a choice to send these documents electronically by means of Intermediate Document (IDoc), then you will be able to eliminate tons of "paperwork" and progress to work more efficiently in a paperless office. On the other side, your customers and vendor gets document details faster and can conveniently have the data posted into their system automatically.

This 3-day course is targeted at project team members and consultants who wish to learn about the concept of IDoc processing and the configuration of ALE (Application Link Enabling) scenarios. This course teaches students how to implement predefined SAP ALE business scenarios in a distributed system landscape. It also includes details of how to map the customer/supplier relationship using EDI (Electronics Data Interchange) scenarios. The capabilities and limitations of ALE would also be studied here.

>> BIT350 ALE Enhancements

ALE (Application Link Enabling) enables data exchange between SAP and other business systems based on an SAP-specific document format (IDoc type) either with the help of files or based on SAP-RFC-protocol. These are powerful mechanisms for interfacing similar or disparate systems. It is therefore, essential to understand the concepts and techniques greatly in order to improve one's insight in some underlying ALE mechanisms.

The course BIT350 (ALE Enhancements) covers programming ALE enhancements for various business scenarios in a distributed system landscape. Through this course, students can learn how to analyze an ALE scenario for enhancement possibilities and applied the most appropriate solutions.

SAP System Administration (Basis)

>> BIT660 Data Archiving

As your business grows, your SAP database tables will grow along with it. It is thus, essential for you to prevent database overflow in order to achieve optimal performance. One such regular housekeeping activity is data archiving.

Your SAP systems contain business data and documents from past years that cannot simply be deleted from the database due to the requirement by the authorities to keep your data for a required number of years for audit purpose. The solution is to archive these data from your SAP database to external storage on a regular basis so as to maintain your database size.

Do you want to be well equipped for planning and implementing SAP data archiving?

Look no further, this is the right course for you.

>> TADM70 SAP System: OS & DB Migration

Immerse yourself in this 3-day academy that focus on imparting the crucial knowledge needed to do a proper OS and DB migration .

The course imparts knowledge on doing a heterogeneous migration across different hardware platforms, operating systems and databases. This course also comes with a certification test that leads to the status of "Certified Technology Consultant OS/DB Migration for SAP Systems".

TRAINING EXPERIENCE WITH EIS

"From the minute I arrived, the team at EIS made me feel at home. They are a friendly bunch.

I consider the TADM70 course a very complex one, but the EIS instructor was more than able to present this course successfully. His first hand experience with OS & DB migrations has proven critical to the success of this course!

Thanks to the EIS instructor, I hope one day we can work together.

Thanks EIS for being so friendly, I'll be back!"
