  TRAINING HIGHLIGHTS

Business Programming (ABAP)

>> BC470 Form Printing with SAPSmart Forms

Every company regularly needs to print large numbers of documents with a consistent design, such as invoices or delivery notes…etc. To do this, the companies must use their business application software. Documents can then be output to a printer, a fax device, or as email.

As of SAP R/3 4.6C, SAP provides a tool for form processing – SAP Smart Forms. This tool includes utilities for designing forms and defining the interface to the application programs that use forms for their data output.

With the SAP Web Application Server (WAS), SAP Smart Forms can also be generated in the HTML format and made available in the intranet or Internet for user entries. The attractiveness of SAP Smart Forms lies in the ease of its creation. Thanks to complete GUI, form customization is possible even without programming knowledge, and once created correctly, maintenance is minimum and mass form-printing has never been easier.

For customers who have not upgraded their SAP systems yet, this course would be beneficial as it also covers topic on converting forms that were previously created using the older SAP tool (i.e. the SAPScript).

>> BC420 Data Transfer

When a company installs an R/3 System, the data from the legacy system needs to be transferred to the new system. Objects of high importance and sensitivity like customer data, FI documents and assets need to be transferred correctly and efficiently. How are you going to ensure that this task can be completed successfully? This course offers you the answer to this question.

In this course, you will learn about effective transfer procedures and techniques, how to import non-SAP data into SAP R/3 system, execute data transfer using the transfer programs and BAPIs provided by SAP, use the Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW) to convert data into the SAP format required and create your own data transfer programs using the batch input and call transaction techniques.

>> PSGABC Technical Tips & Tricks for Application Consultants

This course is directed towards IT-managers/Application Consultants responsible for implementing development efforts using the ABAP Workbench. Being a technical workshop, it provides broader knowledge of development workbench and business events.

The topics covered give an overall view of development workbench like object browser, data dictionary (including search helps), ABAP Editor, Workbench Organizer, ABAP debugger, enhancements and modifications using Business Add-ins (BADI) and Business Transaction Events (BTE). Students attending this course can look forward to learning various ways to enhance R3 without changing source code, and how to locate and understand the usage of enhancement points. The course also covers performance analysis tools, SQL trace and SAP Query.

Business Integration Technology

>> BIT300 Integration Technology ALE

This 3-day course is targeted at project team members and consultants who wish to learn about the concept of IDoc processing and the configuration of ALE scenarios. It also includes details of how to map the customer/supplier relationship (EDI) using EDI scenarios. The capabilities and limitations of ALE would also be studied here.

>> BIT350 ALE Enhancements

ALE (Application Link Enabling) enables data exchange between SAP and other business systems based on an SAP-specific document format (IDoc type) either with the help of files or based on SAP-RFC-protocol. These are powerful mechanisms for interfacing similar or disparate systems. It is therefore, essential to understand the concepts and techniques greatly in order to improve one's insight in some underlying ALE mechanisms.

The course BIT350 (ALE Enhancements) covers programming ALE enhancements and enhancement of ALE business scenarios in a distributed system landscape. Through this course, students can learn how to analyze an ALE scenario for enhancement possibilities and recommend the most appropriate method for scenario enhancement.

  TRAINING EXPERIENCE WITH EIS

"We attended the SAP ABAP Workbench Foundation training course provided by EIS. The training at EIS is highly structured. It is able to transport a beginner with zero knowledge to an advanced level of understanding. Anybody who participates in the class would be able to write and develop effective ABAP reports after this class.

For advanced users/programmers, the class also introduces methods and experiences to further excel in ABAP. When help is required, our instructor is always present to answer our queries in a manner that further enhance our learning. Sometimes, he is so good that he could even anticipate our questions and problems before we can ask!

All in all, we are very happy with the excellent training service at EIS . A truly successful and valuable experience."
