Business Programming (ABAP)

>> BC416 ABAP Web Services

 

This 2-day course is suitable for project team leaders and consultants who are interested in obtaining a general overview of ABAP Web Services. Project managers and project team members who need to decide whether ABAP Web Services should be used within applications should also attend this course.

 

This training aims at imparting essential knowledge in creating ABAP Web services using the Web service creation wizard. Using the step-by-step approach, trainees will learn to create and configure virtual interface, publish ABAP Web services to UDDI repository and generate ABAP Web service client proxy for utilizing Web service. In addition, this course also covers topics on web security too!

 

The essential prerequisite for this course is BC400 (ABAP Workbench Foundations).

This course is designed for experienced ABAP Programmers who have fundamental technology knowledge of SAP NetWeaver.

 

The training includes a performance optimization project to enable trainees to put theory into practice. At the end of the course, trainees should be able to systematically analyze ABAP performance problems, analyze individual objects and SAP system, as well as to optimize poorly performing database accesses and ABAP processing.  

>> PSGABC Technical Tips & Tricks for Application Consultants

This course is delivered in the form of a hands-on workshop to equip seasoned application consultants with broader and stronger technical knowledge in solution development and troubleshooting.

 

The topics covered include an overall view of development workbench like object browser, data dictionary (including search helps), ABAP Editor, Workbench Organizer, ABAP debugger, SAP program enhancements and modifications using Business Add-ins (BADIs) and Business Transaction Events (BTE). Trainees attending this course can look forward to learning various ways to enhance SAP R/3 without changing source code, and to locate and understand the usage of enhancement points. The course also covers performance analysis tools, SQL trace and SAP Query.

SAP Web Application Server for Database

SAP Web AS is a scalable and reliable platform which offers complete development infrastructure to develop, distribute and execute Web services and business applications. With the release of J2EE SAP specifications, SAP takes into account the increasing importance of Java for creating business applications. In a revolutionary step, SAP Web AS was extended to cover Java, and now it is further enhanced with a complete J2EE-compatible runtime infrastructure. As of today, SAP Web AS supports both ABAP and Java and Web Services.

This is a course designed for Database administrators, SAP system administrators and project team members who wish to obtain expert knowledge in database administration by using CCMS database tools in SAP systems and Microsoft SQL Server Tools. Besides that, you will learn about data backups, backing up concepts, backing up data, database restore, database monitoring, working with SQL Server Monitors, working with CCMS monitors and also system maintenance and troubleshooting.

 

The essential prerequisites are SAPTEC (Fundamentals of SAP Web AS), Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database system and of the Windows NT 4.0/Windows 2000 operating system and ADM100 (Sap Web AS Administration I).

>> ADM106 Advanced SAP System Monitoring
 

Imagine this, in ABC corporation, the file system that stores SAP database files is 100% full and no longer capable of extending more tables. A user happens to perform a business transaction at this point and the entire asynchronous update process is automatically deactivated, causing the SAP system to hang. As a system administrator, you would have to know how to monitor your system to avoid such a crisis in future. If you do not already have this knowledge, then you are most suitable for this course.

 

Besides imparting the knowledge on system monitoring, this course is also suitable for those who wish to obtain expert knowledge in CCMS monitoring infrastructure. Other topics include configuration and basic user functions of the CCMS monitor, monitor property variants, maintaining methods in MTE classes, e-mail notification of errors, creating static and rule-based monitors.

The course ADM325 provides you with essential knowledge on configuring TMS, choosing and maintaining the landscape strategy that meet customer's requirements and help them to gain good understanding of the methodology, concepts and tools used to maintain and transport SAP objects.

Immerse yourself in this 3-day academy that focus on imparting the crucial knowledge needed to do a proper OS and DB migration.

The course imparts knowledge on doing a heterogeneous migration across different hardware platforms, operating systems and databases. This course also comes with a certification test that leads to the status of "Certified Technology Consultant OS/DB Migration for SAP Systems".

  >> BIT300 Application Link Enabling (ALE) Technology  
     
 

This 3-day course is targeted at project team members and consultants who wish to learn about the concept of IDoc processing and the configuration of ALE scenarios. This course teaches students how to implement predefined SAP ALE business scenarios in a distributed system landscape. It also includes details of how to map the customer/supplier relationship (EDI) using EDI scenarios. The capabilities and limitations of ALE would also be studied here.

 
 
 
>> BIT350 Application Link Enabling (ALE) Enhancements
 

ALE (Application Link Enabling) enables data exchange between SAP and other business systems based on an SAP-specific document format (IDoc type) either with the help of files or based on SAP-RFC-protocol.

 

The course BIT350 (ALE Enhancements) covers different techniques for enhancing a standard ALE scenario in a distributed system landscape. Through this course, trainees will learn to use field conversion, enhance segments and optimizing of ALE Processes.
