Course Goals

  • Participants learn how to build applications and components with Java that communicate with SAP R/3 and other SAP components.
  • This can be achieved using Business Application Programming Interfaces (BAPIs), other RFC-enabled Function Modules (RFMs), and ALE Intermediate Documents (IDocs).
  • Both inbound and outbound calls are covered in this course.

Target Audience

  • Experienced Java developers who want to use BAPIs and/or IDocs to build Internet, intranet or desktop applications that communicate with SAP R/3 and other SAP components.

 

Prerequisites

   Essential:

  • At least one year of practical experience with Java programming

  • No prior SAP knowledge is required.
  • At least one year of practical experience with Java programming is essential. Attending this course without this experience makes no sense.
  • This is a hands-on course with many exercises. It is aimed at developers and is not a management overview.
