Course Content

  • Open SQL statements in ABAP for updating content in database tables
  • The LUW concept in SAP Web Application Server
  • Using the SAP lock concept
  • Database updates from dialog programs using suitable techniques: inline updates, synchronous, synchronous, and local updates in V1 and V2 modes
  • Implementing complex transactions

Notes

  • This course is intended for ABAP programmers who meet the above prerequisites.
  • You must have several weeks' experience of programming in ABAP Workbench and be able to navigate confidently in complex programs. Knowledge of ABAP dialog programming would be very useful.
  • This course is also suitable for participants who use an SAP R/3 release 4.6B or older.
  • Up to SAP R/3 release 4.0, the content of this course was covered in course BC410 (Programming User Dialogs).
  • As a result of course revisions, we may use more recent software in this course than advertised.
