  • Writing ABAP programs and the most important Repository objects using the appropriate ABAP Workbench tools
  • Navigating in the ABAP Workbench and using syntax help
  • Writing programs using the Object Navigator
  • Editing source text using the ABAP Editor
  • Testing programs using the Debugger
  • Defining elementary and structured data objects
  • Overview of important ABAP statements
  • Introduction to using internal tables
  • Implementing modularization techniques locally within a program
  • Database dialogs: database tables in the ABAP Dictionary, reading database tables
  • User dialogs: lists, selection screens, screens
  • Using function groups and function modules, classes and methods, and BAPIs
  • Project-oriented development with the help of the Workbench Organizer
  • Overview of the various options available for customizing software

  • This course is also suitable for participants who use an SAP R/3 release 4.6C or older.
  • To be able to understand all subsequent ABAP programming courses, you need a thorough understanding of this foundation course.
